Egg on face
So on Tuesday, I emailed about 200 people, proudly announcing my Radio 4 comedy debut in 28 Acts In 28 Minutes, on Wednesday 21st at 18h30.
Was I on?
Was I bumweasels.
Still, I might be on next week (unless I've been excised!) Watch this big blank empty space....
Good programme though, and worth a listen at http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/28actsin28minutes/pip/v1jl6/

I didn't hear Marcus Brigstocke, Ben Willbond, The Hollow Men... are they the ones who did something very visual in Edinburgh with anoraks, like two E.T.s, that was on telly? This is all very suspicious. ;-) (And did John Humphrys have his own dressing room then??? And Nicholas Parsons /didn't/?? :-o)
Fingers crossed for programme three... do you really not know? Perhaps you could have a word with BBC 7, they use short bits of stuff... the programme as a whole seems to be the sort of thing that BBC 7 hates because they have to get separate permission from all the acts, unless you got a special new digital contract as you may well have done. For instance they only ever have The News Quiz since New Labour got in (which is an odd thing to put on anyway) and Barry Took sloped off, because there's something in the contract about DAB I suppose. Now that show takes you back - if you heard it first time anyway. Lots of fuss about Peter Mandelson's private accommodations...
Seven also allowed me to hear Graham Norton complete an uninterrupted Just A Minute round in forty-seven seconds. Evidently on the night he spent thirteen seconds being so blue that they couldn't put it on, and I didn't note down what he said in the forty-seven but I think it was already fairly strong. So I think they'd make an equivalent effort to use your contribution after they paid you all that money. In fact I will insist on getting the share I paid for! Then you would only need... you have a licence, I suppose? :-)
I've gone over the minute myself, haven't I?
